The experience is designed to:

Desert Hot Springs, California

Our retreat unfolds in a serene desert oasis, home to some of the purest naturally occurring hot mineral waters in the world. These waters are drawn from deep underground aquifers, naturally heated as they travel along ancient geological fault lines and rise to the surface enriched with minerals like calcium, magnesium, and potassium—known to support relaxation, circulation, and nervous system restoration.

The pool and hot tub are filled with these mineral waters plus two additional soaking tubs to choose your ideal temperature.

Floating Sound Bath

A sound bath is a gentle experience where you rest and listen while soothing sounds wash over you—like waves made of music. During our floating sound bath, you’ll relax in the warm mineral water while while gently floating on supportive pool floats designed to keep you comfortably and safely buoyant.  Soft tones from the meditative hand pan, crystal bowls, chimes, and other instruments float through the air and water around you. The sounds travel through the water and into your body, helping muscles relax and minds feel calm and safe. It’s quiet, cozy, and playful in a dreamy way—an experience designed to feel peaceful, connected, and deeply cared for.

Meet Danielle

Hi! I started mother-daughter experiences because I saw a fundamental need that was missing from our education system and our modern day culture. I've been working in the education industry building programs and products for over 15 years focusing on the arts and emotional education. I feel the system is lacking the connection to a larger picture, the inspiration from our ancestors and the power of girls growing up within circles of wise women to learn from.

In addition, I was leading women's dance experiences and had a series of mother daughter pairs show up to dance (adults, college age and children too!) and thought... there is really something special about doing meaningful experiences as a mother daughter duo.

So I combined my experience in the arts, emotional education, wellness, games, events, and ancient women's wisdom to build experiences that connect mothers, daughters and families overall.

My hope is that our time together will bring a new, deeper connection to family, but also to the many women before us so that we may walk into a new world - a kind of "ancient future" where we bridge the wisdom of the old into our modern every day lives. Where the joy of music, dance and storytelling becomes essential for how we live. Where we heal our families generational patterns and start new. And where women gather, through all ages, to transform the world through gentle power.

Oh and have some fun while we're at it!

Testimonials

"The mother daughter circle with Danielle was amazing. It was me and my daughter’s first time doing anything like this and we were both a bit nervous.  Danielle was so welcoming. Her ability to read the energy of the group was amazing. She could sense the nervousness of many of us and switched up the activities and we were all engaging and laughing and no longer nervous!  My favourite part of the day was watching my daughter come out of her shell and make genuine connections with some of the other daughters. She can’t wait to do it again. And neither can I! As a single mom of 3 there is very little time to be one on one with each kid. This was a wonderful experience to do together, something that was just for us. " - Alicia O.

FAQ

What age is this really made for?

These retreats are intentionally designed to support a wide range of ages, from younger daughters (8+)  to pre-teens to adult daughters. Rather than creating a one-size-fits-all experience, I design the retreat to be age-adaptive, meaning the depth and complexity naturally meet participants where they are.

Age 8 is the youngest (although I do recommend starting at age 9), as some activities do require a fluent level of reading and ability to sit in a circle for long periods of time with focus, attention and communication. A certain level of emotional maturity comes along with age to assist in this circle work.

Art activities are for any age — what changes is the level of complexity and expression each participant chooses. Music experiences, sound journeys, and trips or tours can be listened to, felt, and experienced at any age, without needing prior skill or a specific developmental stage.

For theater-based workshops, I tailor the experience to who shows up. Sometimes we split into age-based groups; other times I write multiple versions of scripts — more layered, adult-focused versions alongside simpler, easier-reading versions for younger participants, with everything in between. The structure always adapts to the group.

An important part of this experience is also being in an intergenerational space with women — something that was deeply woven into our history but is much less common today. These retreats intentionally bring different ages together so we can learn from one another, share wisdom, and grow side by side. Younger participants benefit from witnessing older girls and women, and older daughters and mothers often find new perspective through the presence of younger voices. This shared, multi-age environment is a meaningful part of the magic.

If you’re ever unsure whether your daughter’s age is the right fit, I’m always happy to talk it through and help you decide what feels most aligned for your family.
